Fluid Film is the answer to control equipment corrosion in the Lawn & Garden and Agriculture industries. Its unique woolwax (lanolin) formula is completely solvent free. Fluid Film protects all metals by creating a non-drying barrier that moisture cannot penetrate. Always active and tack-free, Fluid Film provides long-lasting lubrication for moving parts.
Fluid Film stops deterioration on contact. It will not harm paint, plastic or rubber and resists water wash-off, making it ideal for protecting equipment stored indoors or out. Fluid Film does not freeze, inhibits buildup of snow and ice and will not burn greenery when used on trimmers and cutting devices.
If you have not yet tried Fluid Film and you reside within the Continental United States, write for a free can to discover why Fluid Film has proven so effective for fertilizer and salt spreaders, mower underdecks, battery terminals, hedge trimmers, and numerous other applications.
Visit their forum and write to Dan at dwilliams@eurekafluidfilm.com for your free can. If you’ve tried Fluid Film, please let us know what you think of our product. We’re always interested in hearing what customers have to say.

If you'd like to visit our website, here is our web address: www.eurekafluidfilm.com.
Fluid Film will outlast and outperform any competitive product. With no solvent content Fluid Film will not evaporate, meaning a much higher solid content than other similar products. Most other similar products contain between seventy and ninety percent solvent, so most of what you spray on just evaporates and contaminates the atmosphere.
There is a reason why we are the leaders in corrosion control. If you haven't tried Fluid Film now is the time to take advantage of this free offer. The only thing you have to lose is rust.

Works Great I use it on my Drilll Press and Table Saw for when I'm not using them much along with the shafts on my hydraulic cylinders and other metal parts that I want protecting. When I strip down engine parts I spary them before I put them away in Storage.

When I read this thread I opened my eMail client to send an eMail requesting a free can... but then things got stupid. I couldn't think of a "thing" to say. Ask for a free can, and then provide my address? Easier said then done. Here are some examples:
"Dear Eureka Chemical Company,
Please send me one free can of "Fluid Film" as per noted on the website, Lawnsite.com."
"Dear Fluid Film,
I saw a thing on the net which said I could have a free can. Send me one."
"Hello,
Can I have some? I could use it. Is it like grease?"
----------------------------
Not to lecture you all, at all, but couldn't you give us a Free Offer Trial Number with a reference or a coupon link or something? I just spent ten minutes trying to ask for a free can, but didn't know what to say.

The problem with offering a telephone number is that our phone lines would be jammed up with people asking for samples and then we'd have to write down all their shipping information anway.
The beauty of the email is that all the information is right there. If you'd like a free sample, just shoot me (dwilliams@eurekafluidfilm.com) an email and write "FREE SAMPLE" in the subject bar. In the body just provide a shipping address and let me know you saw this offer through lawnsite and you're a new user.
BTW, if you wrote in last week requesting a can I am in the process of going through them right now. I tried to keep up on them but I was out on vacation and our email system was having all kinds of problems. We are switching providers as we speak, so while our email is now back up and running our website may be down for a day or two while the browser gets redirected.
Believe me, I came back to a mess and I'm going crazy. :dizzy:
Sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Everyone!
I have decided that I will start my testing of fluid film! Lets hope that the test results show that it really can keep metal clean and rust free for a long time! On the left you will see a sheet of metal (This is the one with fluid film on it) On the right you will also see a sheet of metal (This has nothing it is just stock metal). I will try to take a picture everynight and include the time! I would like to add that both metals came from the same plant, are the same sheet just cut in two and have no diffrences. I did shiny each metal to the point that there was very little surface rust. The fluid film sample does have some left. We will see how it takes care of it. I will also type all of the events as they happen. (I.E. rust forming etc!)
Thanks everyone and prepare to be amazed!
Matt-
Also, I was thinking about putting a small pile of salt. And a small area with water on them. Maybe fertilizer too I donno. But this would really show how fast the other sheet metal can rust away while Fluid Film keeps it under control! Please tell me what you think of this idea!

Bought my first can today, 11/15/07 at my local John Deere dealer. Cant beat the stuff, we used it in the Navy in the Boiler room back in the early 90s and I completely forgot about the stuff.

After reading the info on the website, I ordered a case of 12 large aerosol cans of Fluid Film. And only THEN did I e-mail for my free sample. The specs, info, and testimonials on the website, and here on Lawnsite convinced me!
I'm not an LCO, but have an 80-acre farm in Northern MN, with a JD 2520 tractor, 200CX front-end loader, 5' brush mower, 5' back blade, seeder spreader, and... a JD 820A ZTR w/ 54" MOD deck. That, coupled with all the other tools needed for running a small farm should give me plenty of uses for Fluid Film.
Oh, and although this is my first post on Lawnsite, I have gleaned a tremendous amount of valuable and useful info from the professionals here on the site - THANKS!!!! :waving:

I have used br*aso, sa*bian cymbal cleaner evrything under the sun! to clean tarnished finger printed up Cymbals.... I know this isn't a landscaping issue BUT! for you landscapers who play drums like Tamadrummer that I see in here. SPRAY FLUID FILM ON YOUR CYMBALS!!! you wont believe what you will see! It takes it right back down to the brass with no scrubbing and it will not effect the lettering at all! spray it on let it sit til it stops bubbling and wipe it of with a grease rag!. spray it on your Kick pedal chains. But DON'T! I REPEAT DO NOT spray it on the drum it self! It wont hurt em at all but sure is a PITA to clean off the finish! OH yeah and Guitar strings! spray it in a rag and pull new strings through the rag to coat the string then put them on the guitar! Strings will last 3 times longer.... no rusting! NO BS!
Dano... there is definitely a market in the music industry for Fluid film! you may wanna check that out!:)

You would have to be crazy not to take advantage of this offer.
Do you have any sales kits for dealerships? I gave my little sample and papers to my mower dealer but would like to be able to give him a few little cans to give out to other landscpers so that they would stock and sell it.
Our local JD dealer shut down and there is no where close to get FF.
I order from Hoyt but my dealer would probably sell it by the case if it was available.

FF worked wonders for me. The build up under the deck could not fill up my hand! Before it would almost completely clog the far left blade and most of the middle. I bought a can at the local JD dealer to finish my deck .
How often do I need to reapply ? ,I'll definitely be getting a case on the way now.

It really depends on how much you cut, but I give a light coating once a week. Sometimes I go a bit longer, but I try to do it once a week.

I guess I would say once a month. But to be sure just check the deck, when you start getting some buildup, hit it again. Then you'll be able to gauge how long between applications. Wetness of turf will also play a part in making it necessary for an application sooner.

FLUID FILM (http://www.fluid-film.com) stops corrosion on contact caused by fertilizers, salts and moisture. It lubricates for extended periods of time because it contains no solvents, will not get tacky, and will not dry out. It will also not burn greenery on cutting devices.
