When trimming hedges, do you charge by the shrub, job or hour?

Any numbers would be helpful.

I had my first hedge trimming job this weekend and I pretty much charged by the hour. I charged $70.00/hour plus a $50.00 disposal fee for about 1/2 a landscape trailer full of material. Basically ended up being two huge ewes (SP?). I ended up with 2.5 hours of work plus the disposal fee.

I usually give an estimate of how long it should take me, give em a price & then charge for my actual time. If it took less, I usually charge my estimated time.
