Help with Bobcat M36 Deflector

when I bought my mower it didnt have a deflector or grass catcher.
This morning while cutting It threw a stone and broke the back window out of my blazer. (better my window then a customers, Lesson learned)
I was considering tacking a steel plate over it.

What choices do I have?

Just to let you guys know!
I got a small piece of 14Ga Cold rolled DQ sheet steel.
I formed it to the side of my mower and the pinned and clipped it to the side.
So it know acts like a mulch plate that I can remove if need be.
I have been using it for a few days and I'm pretty happy with it.
With my mulching blade it does great, but I have a set of Oregon gators and those seem to leave a strip of heavy cut grass on top of the lawn about 3 inch wide.
I guess it's because gators dont mulch as well.
