what are the advanteges to having a hydro walkbehind is it jsut the instant reverse?

No belt slippage in wet conditions and hydro is faster.

And instead of like a belt, when you squeeze you go and when you leggo you don't go!!!! I've never really driven one, but I was pretty sure this was how they work, right?

You will save much time with a hydro.
The only folks without good things to say about hydro WBs are those who dont own one.
I have owned and used both hydro and belt. Hydro, hands down. I'm sure there could be alot of debate on this one. I guess you have to use what you can afford, and what you feel will work best for you.

Huh? Other way around buddy. Another advantage of hyrdros is that they hold hills alot better than belt drives.
