How to get rid of Henbit and chickweed

My parents have it bad, i don't really want to use a Post emergent, i'd rather use like a weed and feed or something. let me no fella's thanx.

first off weed and feed has a post emergant in it....thats how it kills the weeds not prevents them. i would use lescos momentum or trimec classic...they both do a fine job with those weeds.<p>PS. is it my amaginATION or is henbit and chickweed in full force this year? ive never seen it this bad so early... im applying a postememergent to my lawns next week to take care of them....ive never had to do it this early in the past.

The chickweed your are refering to actually<br>is know as winter chickweed and grows over the winter. <p>To help prevent winter chickweed you can<br>apply pre-m in november.<p>It cannot stand the heat and high sun angle and it will die off naturally by June.
