How you all doing? Here is the deal. I hydroseeded my personal back yard last year. The drainage is horrendous. I need to hold onto the water in the rootzone a little longer without a complete renovation. Does anybody have any ideas? The soil is healthy but it drains wayyy to fast.

Core aerate with 3/4" tines, remove the cores without breaking them up and fill the holes with a product called Axis or Profile.
Guaranteed results but you are going to pay for it!

From what I could see, both of those products are to promote better drainage. I have too much drainage. Am I right?

You are partly right. As funny as this sounds, they promote drainage through the soil BUT they also hold onto the water. They are designed to hold water within themselves. I have used the product and witnessed the results you won't be disappointed.

A cheaper alternative would be the same procedure, using Turface or Diamond Dry..... works here in our heavy soils.
