We do alot of new lawns for custom home builders. We just finished one yesterday. We leveled,rock hounded, seeded, blew straw and sprayed tack on 3.5 acres. I look at what takes the time and it is the hydro seeding. Takes to much water, we used over 4000 gallons. This morning i went out and bought a straw crimper and I took it out to another job. It is so much easier and it looks like it is going to hold the straw better than spraying tack. Does anyone else have any experience with straw crimping?
Also today I was told buy a friendly competitor that my price is to low. We have been charging 90 cents a square yard for these jobs. I am making good money at it. What are you guys getting for this kind of work?
