Help with estimate...

I have a chance to mow at a local airport. I should say...the sides of the runways. Its about 5 acres and is too steep to get a tractor on. I have a new super Z with 60" deck. I'm going to look at the job today but have been trying too figure out how to bid it. Some of the grass is 2 ft high or so...so there would be numerous passes involved. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I would first take the Z for a test on that hill, literally drive it around some to make sure it can be done.

If it can be done:
Bid 400.00

That's 5 acres at $30 / acre = 150
+ 50 for the angle pita factor.
And double price for the extra tall grass.

Or, you could 150 x 2 = 300 + 50 = 350

So, 350-400.

p.s.: Definitely look both ways and in the air before you cross a runway LOL

Bid really cheap because thats who's gonna get the job. And then tack on for extra lengh of grass, the hill etc.
