Anyone know the retail price on an Exmark LazerZ CT with the 52" cut? I'm looking onto one of these but want to know the price before I drive the 19 miles to the dealer.I live in NC if that makes a difference as far as regional pricing goes.

Aroud 6 like MMlawn said. Between msrp, wholesale, after and before taxes, other surcharges, expect to pay +/-$500.00. I am going to buy a compact exmark soon and I have to ask, why not the phaser? I think the 48'' is around 4500.00.

I have always found the suggested retail price to be a joke. Shop around and don't buy the first one you get a quote on. I've never paid close to retail and never will. Just my opinion. Pick up the phone and start calling dealers. You will be surprised at the price differences. And when you get there in person be prepared to walk out if they are not willing to deal. Just like cars, alot of mark up, just the nature of the business.

Retail price on a 52" Lazer CT is $6299. If you purchase before.. July 31, there is a $400 retail savings promo being offered by Exmark (this is on the Phazer and all LazerZ CT units BTW). So, that would make the 52" $5899.

Why not call your dealer and ask?

Anyone who thinks the dealers have a huge mark up and make big bucks on mowers should become a dealer and get rich.

I musta missed something cause I didn't see ANYBODY but YOU mention dealer markup or profits in this thread. :dizzy: Surely you aren't just trying to start an arguement about it.

I doubt the dealers (or at least the small ones) are getting rich but they can't come down $1500 dollars off retail if the profit is not there to start with. Every mower I've ever bought was at least $1000 under retail. I call dealers often and get price differences of several hundred dollars on the same model. I've started to walk away and that's when I have gotten my best deals. I always work with the owner or a manager that's got the power to wheel and deal, never the part time salesman. Even the flex forks on a Hustler were quoted at $199, $200, and even $300. That's just an add on. There is some room to play. And finance companies often charge dealers a 2% or more for special financing programs so that is something you can watch. That's just how I do it. Not starting any fights. I don't always go with the lowest price, quality of the dealer has alot to do with it.
