Where do you keep your stuff? Here's my issue and mostly would like to hear form N.VA people or those in rapidly growing areas.....
I live in a townhouse and at the moment park my truck and trailer on the street which may actually be against zoning. I'm looking at buying an enclosed trailer soon to keep my things in as my current trailer is a dump trailer.
I am unsure of what streets I can park on or how to find thsoe that I can. Another idea is finding some "rural" people within 10miles and trading landscaping services/cash to park my trailer on their small farm.
Help? :hammerhead:

I park mine(enclosed trailer) in the yard, but I'm one of those rural people with a small farm(10 acres). I will be putting up a 40x60 pole barn soon to get it all inside out of the weather and out of sight.

yeah moving up here was a good $ move but space sucks.......back home i have 240 acres of farm land to pick where to park, here 240 = 500 houses
friends and family either live too far away or have HOA's so i just park on public streets for now

Some folks rent a mini storage unit that has parking for campers, boats, trailers etc. Make sure it is fenced in though.

small home in falls church is $1,000,000 haha. I'm 22 and not looking to buy a house but if you know anyone in the area that would rent me a spot or trade some landscaping services then we could be on to something.
how do you find out where you can and can't park? is there a www by any chance? some palces you can park because its not enforced and others you can't period but there's lots of places that you just don't know unless you get a $45 ticket :nono:
i should just move back home.....240 acres should be enough to find a parking spot and maybe keep a few things haha

I used to park everything in my yard, until last year. I finaly got around to putting up the shop 30x40. It seemed great at the time but is to small. I may add another 30' to it,time and money permiting.

I rent a storage unit for $85 a month. It's a 12x30 w/ electricity. If I couldn't get a storage unit I would park it on the street next to my house. It's just a gravel stub street.

todd,
Whne I was in FLA I rented a 10x20 gargae froma uhual storage center fo rmy open trailer until I got an enclosed. But here in NOVA youre kinda screwed. You are going to have to fork out some $$$$ for secure parking...
I know there are a few places near Oakton that allow parking on the street...
Look around on 606 near herndon there area couple fenced in lots, maybe you'll get lucky....And I woudl not "swap" for services....I'd pay em...that way they can't gripe about the cut or some other BS....Just make sure that your rate is the same as their rate.....remember storage is a write-off as a business expense
Good luck....
