After searching by god I cannot find the answers to two question's I have.

1, rolling, is a one ton roller ride on type to heavy??

2, when measuring the property for the sod, do you take you total sq footage and dived it by 2 (2= the two foot sod width)?
Thanks Gil

That roller seems real heavy.

Divide square footage by 9 (3 ft X 3 ft) to get sq yds.....

that one ton roller would be good for blacktop..get your sq. ft. and add up get totel...then divide by 505(sq.ft. per pallett) = total number of bluegrass/fescue pallets you will need.

OK, what kind of roller do your recommend??

And I see two answers for the sq footage should I just contact the sod provider and tell them the total sq footage (this job is 37'x39'=1447sq footage)
I'm laying Bahia for this job if this helps

Thanks Gil

Get one of those push/tow rollers you fill with water. About 250 lbs full.

Thats 161 yards (or about 3 pallets by dcgp's calculation).....

Wow one ton what are you doing making roads...With wet sod all you need is a sod roller..You can usually rent one Brutus makes a good one that is self propelled so does Brouwer (Textron) or a good hand pull unit. Or you can rent the local marching band for 30 minutes to do the trick...

Sq foot total divide by 9 to get yards...
