Thin Thin Thin Grass...What will you do?

[COLOR="Green"]Thin thats what it is...Now...What is your first assumption...water?? soil??? insects??...Or.. there something more that can make the grass go thin.
I Know get the soil tested...say there is no such a thing as a soil test...why do you think grass thins out?

there may be a simple solution to this...was the grass nice and lush and just started thinning? has there recently been more travel over this area? were any objects left here? if there haven't been any recent changes like that i would possibly think of animals digging or short roots that allow the grass to pull out of the ground easier...i would check root depth and if they are shallow i would recommend aeration to promote root growth as well as a topdressing of sand and maybe an application of a root growth stimulant such as roots 1-2-3
