I think they come stock with a stripping flap. It does a good job, just get a demo.

I have owned Grasshopper for years and do not know of any. But I make pretty good stripes and diamond patterns without a striping kit. The key is clean deck and sharp blades.

With grasshopper just replace the rubber flap the one on the back of the deck with a thick heavy one you know to law the grass down.

They are the most popular mower around here and the leave nice looking stripes. They also leave some of the straitest stripes I've seen (front mount). They are a little fainter than stripes left by a roller but look good.

Double up and lower the rear flap and it will stripe great.

i didnt like the way the flap works because it dosent push down hard enough for me. it keaves the stripes a little lighter than i like so i replaced it with a 2 1/2 " diamater pipe just long enough to fit between the rear tires and attached it to the original holes in the deck using a chain run all the way thru it. it rolls just fine and has enough weight to really roll the grass down to make dark stripes. has never snagged on anything either . i will try to post a pic tomm.
