Hey folks
- Nice forum - I tried searching but:

Trying to just service a peerless 770 on an old toro 32" rider.

Is there a means of topping up fluid?
- - I cant seem to find a hole or level indicator

Read here it's possible to install a zerk for this purpose?

Do you all just break them apart to clean & top up?

Any other advice for servicing these units?

Thanks a ton!

Peerless transmissions do not contain fluid they use a special grease called Bentonite grease Tecumseh/Peerless item# 788067C its a 32oz. bottle but your trans only needs about 12oz. As far a servicing these units they don't tend to leak the grease. But IMHO the only correct way is to remove the top cover and scoop out the old grease and replace with the 12oz. any more and you will leak out from the output shafts . Hope this helps:)
