If it is St Augustine you made a mistake.....MSMA kills dalis grass and the new stuff from Home Depot says it will kill crabgrass. But it usually can only be used on bermuda lawns or spot spraying.

Bermuda and zoy are both ok. It will stunt the growth about a week. Little discoloration depending on how many oz. per gallon of water you used. But It will survive . Spray it again in 14 days and again in another 14 days . I take it you have never used MSMA...........You are in for a treat. THere is not a better product for broadleaf on the market.

It turned yellow in 2 days? I'd be concerned. You said you mis read the directions? Did you follow the part where it said how much to put down? MSMA is a good weed killer, but not very forgiving if you overapplied it. If you put down to much you might have killed your lawn. Make sure you know how much you put down.

It should discolor by the next day. Never spray MSMA when it is going to rain. Should use on about a 10 to 15 day stretch when it will not rain

I've burned parts of a few zoysia and bermuda yards with MSMA. In all cases, temperatures were high and the lawns were not watered within 2 days.....

Give is it some nitrogen and it will be beautiful with no weeds in a week or two unless you really over did the MSMA.
