Grass Type

[Tn Lawn Man]

In my area we deal mainly with fescue and bermuda. However, I mowed a new lawn this week and there was a type of grass new to me. It was only around the edges.

It was a lighter green than the others, almost lime but not quite that light.

It was very course. Tough to cut like bermuda but tougher.

The blade was very wide. It was shorter that fescue and had a curl to it.

I should have taken a photo but did not. It was a one time cash cut.

Any thoughts as to the type of grass?
