I just bought a Shindy DH2510 30". It's awesome. I've already dropped it off of a 10' step ladder trimming a tall hedge, it just bounced and kept running smooth!

Is the Shind their 4-sroke/4-mix version? For some reason the Shind has caught my eye. Red Max I've had some thoughts but here in Idaho for me, its a 30 minute drive to ( Boise the capital ). I mainly use Stihl 4-mix products very impressed.

The new Echo HC-150 with the Razor blades are awesome.

Very lightweight, tons of power and the new blades cut anything that get in their way and they stay sharper much longer. Heavier duty gearbox as well.

Let me tell you the best! Maruyama! They are not that easy to find, but by far one of the best! I have the HT 2300 D-R model with the rotaitonal handel.

The 2510 model is the C4 (4-stroke hybrid). They also have the 230 model which is a 2-stroke.

We use extended lenght hedge trimmer's, less bending for the employees. With extended lenght, employees are more productive and develope less operator fatique. We have Sthil hs 45's 85's and HL 100's articulating and fixed trimmers. The old fashsioned chain saw type hs 80's and echo's have been relegated to work for bushes in tight spaces.

Dude, you must not use it much. The 2510 weighs a TON compared to others on the market. Extra weight is a very bad thing for hedge clippers!

I use mine all the time. They don't seem that heavy to me, mine are the 30"s too.

I use them all the time bud. I have the 24" model. I just used them all day yesterday. I guess it is personal prefrence. I think they arent nearly as heavy as my old Echo 150

Brother....all I can say is that I would not want to meet you in a dark alley! You must be a monster. The Shindaiwa hedge clipper you use weighs almost 3 lbs. more than the Echo!!

You the man! I could not take all of the extra weight all day.

I dont know about that. It just seems to me that it isnt to bad. Maybe I Can work faster with it because it has faster blade speed. Who Knows.

I have a new favorite for a light powerful trimmer, they are made by Dolmar. So much lighter then any other model I have tried. They make some of the best saw's and cut off saws made. They are likely regional, so if I could not have them, I would go Kawasaki. I am done with Echo, and don't need the back strain of the Stihl's.

That Dolmar is actually a Robin. Yes, it's a very good clipper. Lightweight, powerful and dual blades.

It makes the unit awful heavy but it will work in a pinch!

I have the KM-110 hedge trimmer too. It is a bit long, but will work, really will work out those fore-arm muscles. I'm looking @ a new maruyama hedge trimmer for the up close stuff.

I think Maruyama is usually relabeled as Husqvarna.
