What do you guys think about this? I have a great offer from my neighbor to buy a custom ABU 28' triple axle skid trailer. It has a ball hitch(2 5/16) which I thought was odd for this size rig. Three 8000# leaf axles w/elec. brakes. Its a 2004 has new fenders and rewired. Over all condition is above avg. but not like new. Paint is flakey thru-out and has minor surface rust from being parked outside. Ramps are both in good shape. Over all it's a nice trailer, with a little TLC(new paint) it would look mint. Get this...asking price......$2,000.00. He used it to haul cars and finally realized it was over kill for him and now he's hurtin' for cash. I'll try and take some pics of it and post 'em, but till then I like to hear a Little feed back and see what you think.

ps.. I'll be out of town so I'll reply back to yall on Monday.

That was exactly my thought, what do ya think a rig like this would retail for? I was told around $10K but that sounds a little high to me.

That is a huge trailer, what do you need it for? I wouldnt want something that big for everyday stuff unless I had to haul multiple bobcats or dozers around.

I'm not real sure what I'd use it for, but I hate to pass up a good deal. I know I wouldn't pull it around everyday I already do that with my 16' enclosed and some days I wish I had something smaller than that. I'd probably use it more in the winter to haul skids to job sites, but as far as summer time use I really don't know. I'm sure it will come in handy just a matter of when. For the money though I think I'm gonna buy it.

I'll buy it if you don't, I would have to buy a truck up that way to pull it back, but that sounds like a real steal of a deal. Keep us post or get some pictures.

OK fellas, I hymned and hawed about buying this trailer so I finally decided to. I couldn't pass up a great deal, but on the other hand what am I gonna use this thing for???;) I ended up buying this trailer for $1,800... no BS. The asking price was $2K but the guy owed me $300 for lawn care services so we just called that a wash. I have 2 new fenders that just need to be primed and painted and welded on. This thing pulls ok but is a PITA to lug around town. I pulled it today to see what it was going to be like. Tell me what you guys think.

For right now no. I think this winter I'll pull a couple skids on it to job sites, that way it will at least free up another truck having to pull a trailer.

Looks like a nice trailer alright.
Now if you'd just get a Ford to pull it you'd be in good shape!

Nice trailer, definately a steal for $1800. Shouldn't have ANY problems getting everything you need on that trailer. Good purchase!
