Buy the biggest one you can pull...they always fill up fast one way or another.

yes that trailer will be alright for now. About 5 years ago i had two 48"walk behinds on a 5X10. Rod father is right, I currently have a 7X16 that is too small. the bigger the trailer the more use you get out of it.

the thing is that i am only 16 and only have 2 more years untill i go to college and by no means will decide not to go to school so i am trying to save as much money as possible. i also have my father who doesnt want me to spend anything. thanks for the ideas with the trailers but what about the trimmers. thanks

You can put trimmer racks on your trailer. TrimmerTrap makes a very good one.www.trimmertrap.com

im not sure whether im being misunderstood but im not asking about trimmer racks i have listed about 6 line trimmers at the top of the post and i would like to know what thoughts the users out there have on them.

thanks

I think you would be much better off with either a 14 or 16 footer. Like Rod said, You will always wish you had one bigger. I'm talking trailers:laugh:

I would suggest the FS 100 4-mix, excellent trimmer, and SThil parts and dealers are always easy to come by.The Sthil has low grunt power, is very fuel efficient and a well balanced trimmer.

If your plans are not a long term career type business in the landscaping, lawn care world, basically you want to work your way through school with no major growth plans, the trailer will probably be ok.

The FS80 is a rock-solid unit.
I really like mine.

What are using to pull the trailer? That could dictate how big you go.

In my opinion, of the ones you indicated, I would choose Stihl first, and Echo second. All of the others are third to me. I base this on the reliability of the ones our pro customers use and their comments.....Mike

I'd stay away from the last two on your list, UNLESS you have great service from your dealer.

I never used Stihl although a lot of people swear by them. I have an Echo SRM210 I used my first year (still do) and added an Echo 251-E. Love them both. Also have 2 Echo BP blowers and love them too. Echo is my choice but I don't think Stihl would be a bad choice either based on the predominate feeling of others.

lawnman i agree but i put those last two on their just to see the response and your the first one. as for what i will be pulling the trailer with it could be anything from a ford ranger to a 1500 pickup to a beater dump. most likely a 1500 pickup. also i think that many of you think that i am taking this to a carrear level and at the very most i am going to cut for another 3 years while in college depending on what school i attend. so just take into account that i want to stay in a reasonable price. ill give you a little background to go from. i myself am planning to buy the trailer probably a 12 footer, a 21'' toro commercial, a truck, and a 48'' toro gear wb. i have a stihl blower and an echo trimmer. my one buddy is buying a toro 48'' zmaster and has a stihl trimmer, and 3 lawnboys. my other buddy will be buying a trimmer which is why i asked the trimmer question and most likely either a honda or if we can find one a lawnboy old-style 21''. so like i said that gives you something to go on. if you guys have any reccomendations whether this is sufficient please comment thank you.

You may find more happiness in more similar equipment. Meaning if everyone is using the same tools they will be easier to share parts etc to keep the business going.

lawnman i am guessing that you are speaking of the 21'' mowers and i realize where you are coming from but most of the lawns where we mow we will not even use a push mower and if we do it will be only one. so again i think that you are speaking of the offset deck vs. the normal. am i right?
