would i need to use if i want to thicken my lawn and make it greener and get rid of weeds?and when do i need to aerate?Thanks

what type of grass do you have? what weeds do you have?

I got centipede and those pricky weeds,i don't know what there called.And one other i don't know what it is.Thanks

Centipede is sensitive to many herbicides that are OK for other grasses. Centipede is often damaged by people overapplying Nitrogen to get it to green up. Iron is probably what you need to get the color you want. Do you know if the weeds are grassy or broadleaf? Post a photo if you can.

Sticker grass is a winter annual that dies out in the summer and leave lots of little stickers. A broadleaf herbicide like Trimec( there are dozens very similar) would be great in late winter / early spring. Simizine will also prevent them as well as kill them. A foliar application of Iron will help with the color. Vantage will remove unwanted grasses from Centipede. My state only recommends one application of nitrogen a year.

Are you talking about sand burs, or sandburs, such as seen in the picture below?

these are broadleaf with tiny stickers on them.
