Does anyone know of a website or other information on getting a model year from a model or serial number? It's a John Deere 445 garden tractor. A friend just bought it but we'd like to know the model year. RestoRob? If so, the serial number ends in C054232. Thanks.:)

According to the serial number your 445 was built in 1997. Serial numbers 050001 to 060000 is the 97 models.
