NO he is not joking..... I have two labs, one is a female Black Lab and the other is a choc male Lab. If the choc pees on the lawn it will kill !!!!! Do a search because this was talked about a while ago. If I get a chance I will look it up. There was some very good points to help prevent it.

I have always thought it was the urine from the female dogs that killed the grass. Although, I may be wrong.

I have heard that adding cider vinegar to the water may help prevent pee burn. Haven't tried it on our dog yet. Don't know if dogs will drink it.

I don't know either. I find it hard to believe that my dogs would ever take a drink.

I thought about trying that,i read somewhere where that would work.I called a vet today and they said there was nothing u could put in the food or water.

In was told to give them a tablespoon of tomatoe juice every day. Don't know if it works or not, but it certainly won't hurt them any. Other than that, train them to go in one spot only. Lay 6" of gravel down and let them do thier thing on that.

I bought a bunch of these and when I actually give them to my dogs, it works well. When I don't, I seem to get burns in the yard from urine. Something else that I believe that would help would be daily watering as it would theoretically dilute the concentration and make it much less likely to burn the yard as well. http://www.petedge.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?ruleID=4&KICKER=&path=1%2C3%2C857%2C858%2C1302&itemID=3049&itemType=PRODUCT&KickerID=2875&itemID=3049&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C3%2C857%2C858%2C1302&KickerID=2875&KICKER

Petedge is a GREAT place to buy stuff online.
