Asphalt price question

I am looking at getting about 1250 sq.ft. for a driveway. Just wondering what this would cost to have done. I could not find any recent threads about asphalt prices. I am sure they have gone up since the rise in fuel costs. The driveway is all dirt with some patches of grass. Anybody have a ballpark figure of what this would cost. Thanks.

The numbers will vary a bit due to regional differences in asphalt prices

2" of asphalt laid is about $1.25-1.50 a square foot.

The asphalt prep will depend on ground conditions and complexity of drainage. I guess around a dollar a square foot for 6" of 3/4 crushed road base.
