My 16 hp tecumseh (OH160) is in a sub-compact crawler that I use for skidding logs. The engine stalls out when it gets hot. It also gets hot quickly. On a typical summer day 80+ degree temp range, and when working the engine hard, it heats up within about 45 minutes of use and then stalls out. The engine has about 330 hours since new. I have never had the head off. The spark plugs also seem to have a lot of carbon build-up after 5-10 hours. The exhaust manifold is custom and runs within about 2 inches of the spark plug head area and within about 3 inches of the rectifier-regulator in the blower housing. Any ideas on my stall-out problem?
Thanks, Dan
