Watergrass is the term many people use to refer to crabgrass. Drive 75.

it is a type of crabgrass but it is like a real light color green and it grows about twice as fast as the normal grass

A lot of people around here call "watergrass" nutsedge.
If you do a search for nutsedge, there is a lot of good info.

I think dimension only works on crabgrass 1 & 2 tiller stages. I'm sure he is talking about nutsedge, it often grows in lower lying areas where water collects or stands, or where overwatering is a problem.

Pull one plant up, break the stem above the root and see if it is triangular. If so, you have Nutsedge and need to use Manage or whatever your state allows. Good Luck!

Watergrass is a common name for barnyardgrass. Drive and Acclaim Extra are both labeled for this.
