Start by taking grammar lessons. Are you asking if you have a Lesco close by or are you telling us you have a Lesco close by?

I couldn't make heads or tails of the post either. I can overlook a few grammar and spelling mistakes, but that was nearly impossible to understand. Funny how dummies always want to come out of the woodwork when an intelligent person has the nerve to criticize someone's english.

work on your communication skills if you expect to ask help from anyone, regardless of whether on the net or not. In the meantime, here's what you actually need to know about your crabgrass/clover issue. Both of these weeds are best controlled with preemergent herbicides, meaning, BEFORE they come out, you need to make a chemical application to control them. There are post emergent solutions, but they tend to also do damage to the existing lawn. particularly when it's hot. Seed when it gets cooler in your area, so that the seed can retain enough moisture to germinate. You can do this regardless of what steps you take to control the weeds, unless it involves putting down a fall preemeregent, which would keep and grass seed you applied after that point from germinating. I'm sure the local LESCO branch will be happy to help you with the specifics that you will need to deal with in your specific area and your situation as a licensed applicator or not.

Quick answer....

Spray Drive about 14 days before you overseed. Drive will control crabgrass AND is also great on white clover. It won't harm the turf at all.

Hey Green Utah...you said both crabgrass & clover are treated with pre-emergants? What pre-emergant works for clover??? If there is something labled for that, I've never seen it...

page 6 of pendulum's label, right off the top of my head, you'll see hop clover.
from Lesco's site: http://www.lesco.com/?PageID=27&ItemNumber=069469 hit the label pdf in the upper right corner.

I think that if you check most pendimethlin based preemergents, you'll find it on the label.

Hop clover (black medic) is an annual and may be controlled, white clover is a perennial and will not be controlled by any pre-emergent.

Is there anything that will control white clover besides 2,4d or trimex?this two things have worked for a while but it seem to come back?

I would take TurfUnlimited's advice and use the Drive 75 with some spreader sticker. This is an excellent product for both the white clover and crabgrass.

he didn't identify it as white clover, but even white clover, which spreads primarily by seed, can be controlled with a preemergent, isoxaben. But realistically, proper cultural practices, including fertilization, will allow turf to out compete, your best bet in the first place. another link
