Hello, everyone, I posted in the just starting section, and couldn't get any replies. So here I hope will get some replies. I want to start my own landscaping business, however, I do not have any desire to do cut grass or do lawns. It seems that everyone and their brother have a grass cutting business in this area, but no one does actual landscape installations. I took a correspondence course in landscape design, and I am presently a master gardener intern in my home state. I want to take some other classes in the field to further my knowledge in the future. My question is would I necessarily have to do both lawns and landscape design in order to establish myself, or could I just make a decent living do design and installations? I have resources (people) I could get to work for me in either case. BTW, I live a relatively small community, but the outer edges of the city are growing by leaps and bounds. Please help.
