I like to bag my lawn clippings and use them as mulch in between rows in my garden. We recently got a lot of rain and the lawn is lush and ready to be mowed, but the crabgrass has sprouted and is beginning to put out seed stalks. Is there a way to tell when the crabgrass seed is mature? I don't want to fill my garden with crabgrass, obviously. Thanks for any input.
