Anyone use a stump grinder on a mini skid? We just bought a Prowler and were wondering how it would work.
Thanks.

What is the horsepower and hyd. flow? If it is under 20 hp I would not recommend getting one.

The Dingo TX420 does ALRIGHT but nothing to rite home about. If you are looking to grind stumps in the 12 to 14" range or smaller then it should do fine but for anything bigger I think it would be a waist of your money from my experience with the Dingo my friends 50 horse diesel stump grinder.

Terra power makes a nice one www.terrapwr.com or Bradco which you can find at many equipment dealers (Vermeer) that sell mini skid steers. As Gilla mentioned 12"-14" and below are the stumps the machine can handle effectively. If you are cutting stumps larger than that on a frequent basis it is not the right tool to have and you are better off subbing the job out or getting a dedicated machine like a SC-252 Vermeer www.vermeer.com
