It's tough to get lawns here to look like they do up North, but we try. These are all Fescue/Bermuda blends.

These are all Fescue/Bermuda blends.

how do you get a fescue/bermuda blend? use fescue/bermuda seed?

why won't the bermuda take over the fescue?

how do you get the bermuda part of the blend to look decent in the cool season?

what's your sig line mean?

GEO

you won,t find anything that green in slaughterville oklahoma. all of the grass is dormant from the drought and it looks like winter.

Q1. Sod with Bermuda & overseed in mid September with Fescue using a renovater.

Q2. Because the Fescue has fall, winter & spring to thrive.

Q3. The bermuda goes dormant in the winter & all that is left is Fescue (see Q2.)

Q4. Texas SUCKS.

They must water it regularly. My friends in OK say its brown as winter.

I set almost all of the irrigation controllers on my properties & have that house set at 25 minutes twice a day.

Lawns look good! It's nice to see some green grass this time of the year. If it wasn't for the rain lately in my area, the grass would still be brown.

We finally got ahead of the average for August over here in the eastern part of the state. Now the brown is turning back to green again.

Those stripes on the bermuda are just about as good as it gets . How does the homeowner get the fescue to grow and not be choked out with bermuda ? Because fescue is a good grass to use under all those shade trees --bermuda does poorly there.

Burnt Orange makes me puke. hah It is the rivalry between OU (Red and White ) and OSU (Burnt Orange and White).

OU Oklahoma University -- OSU Oklahoma State University
