22 hp muffler

i have a 22 hp vertical Kohler that blows out muffler every 100 hours any suggestions?

1st suggestion Model and spec #'s
2nd suggestion how many hours are on the unit and how long has it been doing this for?
3rd suggestion are you installing (Kohler) mufflers yourself or is a dealer installing them, or are they after market?
4th suggestion reading the third post from the top on the main page and giving as much info as you can will aid in the diagnosis of your issue.

does it backfire when you shut the engine down? if so then shut the engine off between 3/4 to full throttle to keep it from blowing the muffler apart.
