Yes I finally got my new Kawasaki hedge trimmer and the blades will not move. I'm very digusted to say the least. Probably will be my first and last piece of Kawasaki equipment.

does it have a safety stuck on the blades for shipping or handling?

One of the blade bolts is probably too tight, your dealer did not do a setup on the new unit?

Don't know for sure.

are you trying to move the blades by hand or are they too tight for the engine to move?

Give it a quick check, with the unit OFF PLEASE:) turn it upside down so you can see the blade bolt heads and the washers you should be able to move the washers with your fingers if you can't then that is the bolt(s) keeping your blades from moving.

Glad to hear this was your issue :) Don't give up on the Kawi's they are pretty good 2cycle equipment.

now go and spray them with some fluid film to keep them lubed and sharp for years..
Where did it come from? Your local dealer that sold it to you should have fueled it and checked its operation before they let you take it.

I am interested in the KHT750D, how is it compare to others that are more expensive? Is the engine going to last a long time?

Wise words from a man who knows what he's talking about. For me the Kawasaki is one of the best.

Something to keep them free flowing, to avoid the build up of sap, WD40 or the like, stop and spray when cutting for prolonged periods..

Just love the KHT750D. Always start easy and run like a dream :)

There is a sponsor link for Fluid Film on this very site and at one time you could even get a free can, not sure if this is still available:confused:http://www.eurekafluidfilm.com/
Fluid film is the BEST for HT blades because it is natural and will not harm the hedge. WD and other oil or petrol based lubes will harm the plant:nono:
