I have a customer would like me to build a new set of front steps using some left-over Versa-Lok he has from another project. It will be two steps up to a small landing at his front door.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle the wide landing that will be at the top of the stairs. I was planning on building the steps using the pedestal method, including the landing, the cap everything using Versa-Loc caps. I'm concerned about how the caps will look and fit on the landing.
Am I better off to not build the landing as a pedestal, but instead build it as a hollow box, fill it with base material, and then set pavers?
Done a few walls, but never any steps, so I'm looking for some advice. Thanks in advance...
