I know they offer a kit to make the seat wider.

rather than going with grasshopper, have you looked at places liek Northern tools. wide range of seats one of which may fit, you migh need to drill and extra hole or 2....

the high back suspension seat is very similar to the one that was on my Exmark years ago.

Yes, there are suspension seats available from Grasshopper for about every model except the 600 series machines.
What model of Grasshopper mower do you want to mount it on? I can post the part number here for you.

Check the air pressure out also if you have not done so. Most Grasshoppers ride fairly well with the low pressure tires if infalted properly. But I would want the Suspension seat also.

My Grasshopper is a 03, 2500 series. It has a 25hp kohler, 61 inch deck. I run about 9# in the rear and front. My 5acre yard has some spots that are a little rough in the back. THANKS!!!!!

The suspension seats I have seen are the Cordura seat on top of a suspension riser.

I like that seat OK until it gets rainy.
So I would get a full suspension seat from northern tool and mount it on there.
