View Full Version : Idler Pulley Problem?

I had an idler pulley lock up about two weeks ago. Took it in to my dealer and he replaced it and the other idler pulley because the top of it was chewed up. I get the mower home, mow my yard and while blowing off the grass I notice the pulley is chewed up again. It doesn't look like there is anything for the top of it to rub on. I pulled the deck up on the side of the pulley and with it as far as I could pull it up it didn't look like it could hit anything. So I am wondering what is going on with this pulley. I am attaching some pics so maybe you or someone can help before I have to drive 90 miles round trip back to my dealer again.

You can post it here or e-mail it to me if you like.

Is it possible that the pully can get against something when the mower deck is in the transport position? If this is the case maybe if you run the blades with the deck raised it might be making some contact. Just a thought.

It has been two months and nothing? Did somebody drop the ball?

I will call and find out what is going on, your information was received and I forwarded it to who needed it, I will call him and make sure he got it.
Have you talked (called) to your dealer?
