Just wondering, when you guys mulch existing flowerbeds do you remove the old mulch and replace it, or just put a layer of color down over the existing mulch?

Depends on how thick the old mulch is, if it has a bunch of weeds in it or not and if the customer requests it or not. Of course you have an opportunity to make more money by removing the old stuff so you should always offer that option to the client when you bid the job give them a price for removal of the old mulch as well.
