I know it's never a good thing to hope for bad weather, but I've had one good day of rain in over a month, so I'll take it anyway I can get it. Skies are dark and rumbling and it's a light rain outside right now. I just heard that theres a tropical storm in the gulf that should come this way and dump some much needed rain for the next few days. Hope you guys are out of the drought where you are.

A few hrs ago, I saw a report about the possibility of that becoming the first named storm (Allison?). You'll get her first! I hope she dosent turn into anything more than we need!

Currently, it's been thundering like mad for the better part of 5 hours. The humidity is so thick, it almost counts as precipetation. But nothing really wet, yet.

script,

I hoped for rain and I wish I hadnt!

I could use a drought right now. I havnt been caught up in weeks. The rain wont stop and Im done mowing clumps of grass and getting soaked. I think if our rain stopped it would take a month before we would need additional rainfall.

A tropical storm should give you plenty of rain. Hope it helps you out.

Between April 18th & May 18 we could not buy rain and now we can't give it away. If I ever get up todate on my accounts I'll consider myself lucky. Script: I hope you get some of this stuff.

Well we wanted rain and now we've got it!! Allison is moving over us. We are under a flood warning right now, but I can tell you that it is already flooding. It has gotten worse over the past hour. I don't know how long it will end up taking to dry up. If it keeps up my trailer and truck may float off!! I guess we are making up for not having any rain last summer. When it rains it pours!!

Its rained so much here I am starting to build an arc. The clumpy grass looks terrible, not my customers. It is taking its toll on the wannabe's too- I saw an ad in our Sunday paper for a Lawn bus for sale. He he, he is the guy that was tryin to make it under the table, it ain't happenin.

Rain is pennies from heaven, without it all we would need is a broom.

We have had rain here for about 17 of the last 20 days and we only got 3 of 10 lawns mowed today. :(

Ed, when you get that Ark done, please don't bring two Mosquitos on board, no bees, no moles, no mice, ect :)

We have been recieving rain just about everyday for the past couple of weeks. Today in the paper they the way rainy season is going it should wrap up our three year drought. Lakes are down 5-7 feet if there not dried up. It will probably be three years before we are back on track, but at least it is making the grass green and filling up the aquifer.:)

I remember last april it rained 25 out of 30 days, and in JULY and August it didn't rain at all. we are somewaht on schedule, although some of our customers are confused what day we are supposed to cut- one week it is wed, then next it is thursday, then wed, etc. Dave g

Up here in the far west burbs of chicago we been getting
about a inch or so per week for the last 5 weeks. The thing
is that it has not beeen that warm 60/65 in the day and
40/50's in the nite so the grass is growing at a slow pace.
But when the heat gets here, Then the grass will really
pick up the pace + a little weed&feed, let the fun begin.

 Rain in central Missouri has been plentiful. We will not be caught up for a couple weeks. and that is if the rain stops. Forcast tonight: Thunderstorms. I guess it is better to be behind that have nowhere to go!!!

3.7" recorded here in the last 24 hours and it wasn't dry before that. We could use this in August instead of now. It really needs to dry up here..........Lynn

Talk about rain,we ahve had rain almost every day all the way back to two weeks before memorial day weekend.Had to start vaccuming some lawn with Exmark/trail vac.system. Gets old after a while.Someone said he couldnt keep routes on time.We are now one day in advance so that if the heavy rain hits we have a little gap to get done in.Tired of wet shoes smelly rain gear and not to mention the clumpy grass.Oh, yeah pressure washing decks every day. Oh well maybe july will be better. Jammin the only to mow is with tunes!!!!:blob3: :blob3:

It rained here this afternoon and it has been raining on a regular basis for a month now. Something we have not had happen in the past 4 years. No 100 degree temps yet. Plenty of 90s and i can live with that. Its the 100s that can quickly zap the grass. This is a complete change from the drought years although it did dry up the middle of april. The weather can quickly change so i am not calling this year a winner yet but it sure looks promising.

I check my rain gauge this morning and saw that we received 5 inches of rain yesterday!!! It didn't rain today, but I can hear the thunder outside. The weather man said there was suppose to be more rain coming tonight. Oh boy!
