As an x-Golf Course greenskeeper... Striping grass depends on two things, sun direction as ur looking at it, and the type of grass your cutting.
the key to getting nice stright lines is picking a spot on the other side and dont look down. think of it as you aiming your gun, dont move your head or eyes. trust your spot that your looking at once you get the first pass made your golden.

not too bad.. Make yourself a little roller kit for the rear. Just make sure it doesnt get in the way of your walking.

Why do 21 stripes fade from left to right? I don't use a 21 so I don't know, just asking.

That got me pondering... If anything I bet it'd be the rotation of the blade. The right sides rotation causes more of a green section rather than a white section of the stripe and vis-versa with the left side.Anyone else:confused:

I belive it is sun direction. also most follow the wheels as a guild. As an ex greens keeper, if you were able to take advantage of the full cut 21' instead of giving up 2 inches by following the wheel marks. one other thing think the direction of the rotation blade rotation clock wise, then comming back the oppisit direction roating clock wise will erase the direction of the last lap.
