I was interested in a spreader to mount to my ZTR. The Jrco looks like a good design but was wondering about the dust coming back at the ZTR operator. Would like to hear from anyone with experience with this unit or any suggestions.

Mine JRCO is 6 years old and it the manual shut off. The newer ones have an electric shut off.

It throws to far when doing residential jobs. Great for sports fields IMHO. I am going to buy a Lesco elecric (about $350) next spring and fab it myself to fit the JRCO bar. I like the shut off better, it's
a one speed motor, and I use Lesco fert.

I dont seem to have a problem with dust.

The Jrco has a plastic shield that extends almost down to the ground. This blocks the dust.

Also now that you mentioned it, the fert I use does not seem to have much dust. The pre-crabgrass is the worst.
