Pass some fliers out and wait for some calls that will tell you when the people want it done. and then you can start working your a55 off for about 4-5 weeks and then crash for the winter.

You will know from the sound of the blowers and truck loaders.

Be careful how you bid them!!!!! For the small amounts charge a little more then you would to mow, trim and blow just to cover your time and disposal fees, and you wont scare them away...you can pick up the leaves weekly as they fall for what seems like a normal price to the homeowner or you can wait till all the leaves are off the trees and hit them with a big estimate and scare them away.

So you offer a weekly or bi-weekly cleanup?

We keep mulching and mulching as much as we can, than as all the leaves are dropped, we do the pickups. Most of the time, it amounts to two pickups. For those places that require pickups before then - the places that want to be somewhat cleaned up upon the visits (you still can't get them superclean), they are paying more for the end result of the cleanup. There is more ime going into it (including dumping), and they are paying for a neater place in the meantime. Personally, I don't prefer doing this....you clean a place up, and two days later, you can't even tell you were there.
So,...with waiting until the end to pick them up, 1. You are saving time and not wasting work. 2. you are actually hauling out less in the long run, because by that time, much of what you've been mowingfor weeks, is essentially turned to dust.
