For an extremely well built machine!

Ok, heres the story.
Iv'e got the z-max out yesterday just another day until I get to my least favorite property.

There is a small "bunny trail" that is a hill with a 3-4 foot drop and then its all down hill from there.
I have to run across with the machine to get from the front of the property to the back.
I've done it hundreds of times.

This time the trail was cut very short and it was wet.
I wasnt loaded very heavy and all was going well.

Then the machine just started sliding.
It slid off the "cliff" rolled over twice and landed on its feet.

It was still running and after some doing me and 5 other guys got it out and I finished the day.

The machine worked PERFECTLY!

I agree they are well built! If you have any problems they are the best to deal with. L.T. Rich that is. How many companies can you call with a problem and actually talk to the Owner, Tom Rich.

Absolutely! The machine is awesome. Rule 1: Jump off that thing when it starts sliding. There is nothing you can do except get hurt by going for the ride. That being said, I think everybody has to push the limits to know the boudaries of traction with the machine. Use your best judgement where you push the limits. My first slide was on an insane incline that I had no business attempting to descend. The guard on the front left nozzle (booms folded) buried itself over an inch into the side of an Austrian pine and never bent! Last week I did a clients lawn who has a severe grade. The house is a beauty that sits up on a hill overlooking a green on the golf course. I came around the corner and a staffer was aerating the green. He looked up at me like, "I gotta watch this." I was back and forth across that hill with three passes, no problem. I saw him shake his head and a gave him a wave. The trick is I only had about 5 lbs of fert in the spreader and I stuck my ass out off the back when the rear need to plant better.

Glad you weren't seriously hurt. Well what else can you say, Tom Rich and his staff are every bit of what a class organization should be IMHO. I had the privilege of being escorted around his facility by Tom himself last Feb. when picking up my Z-Spray. Great product + Great staff = ensured success for these folks.
