Whats the cheapest way to accurately weigh grass seed?
I do not seed often so I would rather not spend $80 on a scale, but I would like to find a better way than just pouring a portion of the 50 lb bag into the hopper.

Bathroom Scale.... 15 bucks tops there.
Weigh yourself, weigh you and the contents of partial bag of seed, seed lawn spots, weigh you and whats left over in the bag. Subtract one from the other = how many pounds of seed you used.

I have a grain scoop that holds about 3#'s. The cool thing about it is back in 1977 when I worked in a garden center that was what I used to measure for customers. It was always real close when I put it on scale. Great thing I bought it plus some other stuff when the garden center closed in 2001.
