New sod watering

Here's the schedual most sod companies recommend for new sod after the first water in.

First two weeks:
Summer:: water four times a day for fifteen minutes each time (less if runoff occurs). Suggested times: 6 am, 9 am, 12 pm and 3:00 pm.


Spring/Fall: water twice a day for fifteen minutes (less if runoff occurs).
Suggested watering times: 7:00 am and 11:00 am.


Second two weeks:
Same schedule every other day.

Third two weeks:
Same schedule every third day.

Kind of pointless giving times when you don't know what sprinklers they will use and their precipitation rates.

Location would have something to do with it. During this past summer, if our new sod had been watered like that we would lost a lot of sod. Not near enough water.
