estimating

On most of my estimates I use my measure wheel. I not only use it to price my jobs (by sq. ft), but for future reference ie. fertilizer, aeration,etc. When you guys estimate do ya include land + home/
business or grass to be mowed only?

just the lawn here, but trees are a big factor for in the fall. only time i include the home is when they ask me to stripe their carpets. thats a extra.:blob3:

Theres no need to measure the home unless your drawing scaled plans or a detailed map of the entire property. If you have employees, its a good idea to have these maps you draw in a binder so you can explain to them the specifics of the job easier.
