I bought a Samurai a few weeks ago and it is a great machine. If you are every in Little Rock, AR you are more than welcome to come by and try it out. And no I am not getting any kick backs form Better outdoor products. I just have been very please with their customer service. I bought a new walker last year at the dealer and did not even get a thank you.

I have had a great experience with the folks at Better. I have spent about $8000 at my local Scag/Stihl dealer this year and whenever I have to call or stop by it's like I'm wasting their time. I know many LCO's spend a lot more than that, but at least the people at Better make you feel like they want you as a customer.

what other major lawn equipment producer can you call and get the owner on the phone ?? I'll bet you can get Gary on the phone almost every time you call....and they treat your problems like their problems

I went on the website today and looked for one of the complete packages that includes trimmer, blower, etc... and couldn't find them. Am I just not finding it on the site or have they removed the package deals since they are selling off the 06 models?

Would the package deal benefit a part time only LCO getting started next spring ? Or should i just spend the extra and go with Echo blower, trimmer?

I post on every Quick 36 thread...at least every thread since I purchased my Samurai. Its hard if not impossible to brag about this machine. If you check back on threads...It would take you awhile to find any bad comments from people that actually own one of these machines. They are well built, and perform to perfection. When you buy one...you'll know what I mean.

i think if they made a 48 and a 32 a lot more people would consider their products. atleast, i know i would, and i know a lot of people around here use 48/32's.

I may or may not. But with a little strength you can flip it to one side a little and push it through. I have 2 yards it cant fit through straight but once i tilt a little it goes right in.

They are coming out with a 46" (I think a 46") next year. I would jump on getting a 36" right now but my concern is if it breaks down. If its your only mower like it would be mine it could slow you down considerably. Good Luck!

It probably will not break down and I am sure that the folks at BETTER would take care of any problems you might have..They are great to do business with. I hear it's a 44" model next year..I cannot wait....we can only hope they go from that into 48" wb and Z's.............

I called Roadway yesterday to check on the procedure for picking up my mower. They informed me that there would not be a forklift operator avail until after 5:00pm. that wouldn't work with my schedule. They said no prob to assembly on the dock. Since that wasn't in my plan all I had in my truck was my small tool set. I had no idea what I needed to do to assemble, so I called better.

They stayed on the phone with me and gave me a list of tools and the key steps that I would need to do to get my machine safely on my trailer. I appreciated the help, and I had the tools, so no prob.

Of course when I got to the dock, a guy put it on a fork lift and loaded it into my trailer.....

Dagoman found the answer to yours and my question by calling Better. Gary answered. You guys are right how many other companines can you actually get the manager on your first call? He was very helpful when talking to him.

He told me that they don't carry the Pro packages (which include things like trimer, bb blower, etc...) that you see on the back of the catalog anymore. Said they are just carrying their own products and stopped with the propackages since it wasn't really saving customers money.

Think I may just get the rest of my equipment from local Echo dealer that way I will have repair service for my blower, trimmer if needed later on.
