There are no fert laws in FL, as long as its straight fert. But to do weed & feed or pest control you have to work under a licensed pest contol operator for 3 years before you can get your license.

There is a license called "limited commercial" This is for spraying beds "shrubs, hedges,..., and for spraying roundup. Its an easy license to get.

Yes, but keep in mind that is straight fertilizer only.

Many "off the shelf" fertilizers at home improvement have some sort of pesticide in them, which would make them illegal to apply.

How does one go about getting a limited commercial license?

How does one go about getting a limited commercial license? There are a few instructors. Bob kessler is one. If you search you can find his site. You can take the class in one day at county ext office. Get plenty of sleep the day before. An hour for everyone to basically write their name on the sheet to get started (some lawn guys arent too smart). Its a simple test.
