well i finally got that 17hp kaw working right, i had some diods bad in my harness that were causing the blades to not turn on...anyway, my question is this...the guy that helped me fixed it reduced the rpm under load to 3400 from the maxed 3600 and i kinda didn't like this idea, what do you guys think? he said its going to give me longer engine life and its still going to have plenty of power, but i mean i like MORE power...but i dono...i need some opinions

Contact a qualified Kawasaki dealer about the RPMs, they will know.

Check with the mower manufacturer. RPM's are calculated based on blade tip speed. You don't want the blades going too fast, that causes a safety issue. The rpm's for the new engine will be the same as the old.
