I was using my 21" Snapster the other day and got to wondering..................if all the wheels are set at the same height is the blade pitched at the proper angle???????? I have sometimes put the frt wheels one notch lower than the back to give it a little bite and it seems to cut a little better.

Just wondrin' if anybody else does that or if the mower is designed that way.

The blade of a well designed 21" will be 1/4" to 1/2" (the 1/2" being better in my experience) lower in the middle front of the blade tip path than the middle back at any height setting. If plane of blade is perfectly horizontal, you will get a more ragged cut, and too much of a dip to front will cause uneven cut. I believe the 1/2" front drop is also standard on most large decks also.
