I have a patio to do where the cement is already installed, and they would like to go over it with New york bluestone. On the sides they want cobblestone. Is morter the best way to do this? Looking for some recommendations...

Reccomendation? They want to go stone because the concrete is cracked and heaving in certain areas? "Know when to hold 'em, Know when to fold 'em, Know when to walk away and Know when to Run...."

actually this is brand new cement, they just like the look of the flag on the walk. As far as experience. We lay a lot of walks and patios, but never over the existing cement, that is why I am asking.
