Coming home to see a package on front door WooHoo.
Yes I now have hold of another grinder, but now have a quality piece of equipment for sharpening and balancing.
Took me 2 mins to tear open package and shove 9 blades in for sharpening. (just have another 200 to go)
Honestly very impressed with ease and quickness, still learning curve as I feed to fast at first. Can see this saving many hours off my weekends with 3 zero turns to service .
The balancer, well havent had time to mount on wall as no space as yet, all walls are used up.
Thank you Magna-matic and Gerd for the trouble you went through in changing motor speed, size for us Australians. Very happy with this product and I cant beleive how stupid I was for not getting this many years ago.

Hello Easy Care Acres,
No problem at all, I just still apologize for the wait you had to endure, but as I had mentioned to you we had our 220v 50hz motor redesigned and improved - now 220v 50hz customers won't have such a wait for a MAG-9000.
Thank you, and don't ever hesitate to drop and email or forum post with any questions. When it comes time to replace the grinding wheel, you can email me with questions on how to best find them in Australia.

Gerd, did you get my email?
It said basically, whats happening with my Magna?
If you dont know, can you find out! Its been a month since last contact above! ^
If theres going to be a long wait, perhaps in the mean time you could send me the balancer, so I can get some of my old blades going!

Ok Gerd, Got your reply! Happy Holiday!

Well, it finally arrived today!
Gerd, you really should do something to fix that wait! 5mths is pretty bad considering you had worked out the problems with Easy's!
01-11-2007, 10:10 AM
Well that problem was fixed, we now have the new 220v motors in stock, so delivery times would be just that of BAX global which is usually about a week - 10 days for most any where in the world.
01-11-2007, 10:38 AM
I was watching Bax and it got to Brisbane and stopped there. I rang them to see what the hold up was and they needed some info (customs?) from me which I was happy to give, but they didnt ring me. It may well still be there if I hadnt of called.
You sent it on the 20th/12, and I got it today the 11th/1. Thats like 3 weeks! Now I dont blame you/Magna for that, Im blaming Bax for not telling me they needed info to release it from Customs.
All that stuff aside, Im happy to have it here and it looks a very nice machine! Just need to get organized to get into these blades!

Yeah, BAX is supposed to immediatly call - I provided your phone number to them. That is the first time I've had that happen, good thing you called, or in the future even for intl shipments they usually make it in one week to 10 days.
Do let me know if you have any questions about the MAG-9000.
01-11-2007, 05:55 PM
No questions yet but see once I get started properly on some blades.

well 136 blades so far having a rest hee, Magna, super equipment still going great. I use compressed air to cool motor as 3-5 blades snuffs with heat but is great finish and ease.
Wait was bad but worth the result.

Be sure to not over-push the motor, if you are hearing the motor slow down, you are pushing too hard, this will cause over-heating. But the motor has a thermo-shutoff internally to protect the motor.
